There is a conflation and misunderstanding of sexual orientation and gender expression going on here. They are not the same thing at all.  

In fact, it is very well known that many heterosexual men love to crossdress either for fun or because of a fetish. Even more, heterosexual men comprise the vast majority of men who crossdress.

These men belong to a musical movement in Japan called Visual Kei. It is not about a fetish but rather a rebellious scene against Japan's conformism.

Regarding masculinity and femininity, what's masculine? what's feminine? It is hard to give an answer because these concepts vary from culture to culture; there isn't a universal definition for them. Also, all men have feminine qualities and all women have masculine qualities. No man is 100% masculine and no woman is 100% feminine.

There was a BBC documentary on heterosexual men who crossdress on youtube. But I haven't been abale to find it. There is this one from a Spanish-speaking man who talks about transvestism being heterosexual.

Without saying who's 'right' and who isn't, I'm just an observer, not a psychologist. What I see here, are people who are searching for their identity. Not that long ago, religion 'taught' us things about our calling, how to behave, etc, etc. Now that most of us are free from religion or enlightened, this search is perfectly explainable. However, what I see here as well, is what happens when people lose their relationship with mother nature. In this sense we're very different species.

Searching for identity? Perhaps. But crossdressing doesn't necessarily conflict with one's gender identity, though. Most of the time is for fun, other times a rebellious attitude against rigid gender roles and other rigid societal expectations, and other times a fetish.

Another example of a heterosexual man, married and has two children is Miyavi, ex Visual kei guitarrist. He now looks normal, but when he was a Visual Kei artist he was one of the most androgynous artists and fan girls considered him one of the most beautiful in the scene.
