At least Mexicans build things, work hard, do incredible repair jobs on houses/roofs etc... and they like their privacy.What do Syrians do?
The difference to me is A - That most normal people acknowledge that the Mexican illegals are at least minor criminals by nature of their border jumping status. And it is a lot harder to stop the comings and goings on a shared border.B - The types of crime, minus something like drunk driving, will most likely just affect them mainly. A Mexican banger shooting another banger isn't a huge deal. Them slinging rock amongst the rabble, again not a huge deal. I doubt your average ese is going to walk into a McDonalds with a bomb or what have you, just because their God told them too.C - We at least somewhat share a common culture with the Mexicans, especially with religious matters. Muslims, even with the non-violent ones, there is usually a double standard toward religious things. These fresh off boats ones are or could be coming from areas where women's rights, gay rights, etc.... are still stuck 100's of years in the past. Do you really want them to bring that sort of thinking into American schools, politics, etc....?Fuck that, best to adopt a somewhat isolationist attitude toward dealing with folks form that area.This Syrian refugee thing has the potential to turn into the Mariel Boatlift with a far more dangerous class of people.

But now the West will have an excuse on why they're here. They'll say it was our compassion that let in a few. And that we will never stop being compassionate to people who need us. Writing is on the wall. If a bomb went off 2 years ago in Washington, people who say "what the hell are you people doing in Government, how did they slip through the cracks". Now with hundreds of thousands of refugees coming over, the Government will get a pass because they were compassionate. lol. They know exactly what their doing. They are bringing in the Chaos and will hide behind how Awesome and compassionate they are in doing so...
