and when bob hoffman got all his weightlifters on steroids in (year left out to stop another getbig war) he proclaimed that they were all gaining 150 lbs. on their lift in 6 months due to isometrics.

Which is ridiculous of course...but I can't help but believe that there is a small kernel to isometrics...Women sense that the fastest way to get me sexually is to ask to see my muscles...and they feel them with their fingers and palms...And I have to admit that I like to look at them myself...

I have the feeling, and I have no way of proving it, but I think that practicing posing has given me an extra inch.

bingo..    most people now have no clue how to pose, pro bodybuilders included.  a national competitor asked me to watch him pose two weeks out from the Canadians, my first comment was 'you gotta hold your gut in!'   he said,' don't worry, i'll hold it in on stage when I need to'. well, his gut was hanging out on stage too. if it's hard two weeks out in the gym, it's ten times as hard on stage.

I saw guys with huge lats I was competing against, and afterwards the pics show my lat spread is way better.   they have more actual muscle, but on stage I look like I have more muscle. that is all attributed to knowing how to pose.

If u know how to pose 16" arms on a 6"2 guy can look pretty good to! Its all about angels twisting turning levels one inch up one inch down etc etc...posing is an art itself! Very uderrated/estimated. Love watching Bob Paris  Lee Labrada Francis Benfatto, those guys have been practice posing for houers and houers...
