They also booed at the Ireland vs Bosnia soccer match.  Soccer fans are the most rowdy uncaring people around.  When black players come on the field, they'll throw bananas and watermelons.

Who cares

No no.. the bosnians shouted. The irish fans then booed them down after about 30s. Possibly because of bosnia situtation mid 90s but just goes to show this IS western democracy vs islam, not all against terrorism.

The stadium in Turkey definitely isn't getting bomb threats like the stadium in Germany

From what I know, apparently some Turks were annoyed that there was a required minute's silence after the Paris attack but there hadn't been any minute's silence after other recent terrorist attacks - including the one that hit Turkey last month.

All this Moment of Silence, Pray for ..., candle vigils etc... needs to stop.  Just bullshit to make people feel important and put on a false façade that they care.

Really a moment of silence before a game?  yeah, let's have a moment of silence and remember the dead for 30 seconds before we all get fucking drunk and start shouting shit at the players and each other for the next 4 hours.

I agree it was unnecessary.
It made sense to have the minute's silence before the game involving France but it shouldn't have been mandatory for all the games. I don't agree with the jeers but it's understandable why some Turks will be annoyed after their own nation's tragedy was largely ignored globally.

They have every right to boo. Just because you don't agree doesn't make it a rule.  They are pissed because not one moment of silence was heard for anyone else that ISIS killed.

Turkey has turned a blind eye for years and stopped nobody from using them as a gateway to join ISIS. I do agree thou that all terror victims should be respected and remembered regardless of the country.

Yep, just a coincidence that a entire stadium full of them seemed to support the attacks.

What are the odds that so many of the radical ones would happen to be in one place at the same time?  Crazy.

You could argue that point up until they started shouting allahu akbar. They are glad the attacks happened.

Turks don't qualify as "real" muslim in most Arab countries, because of their secular democracy. Isis already killed 102 people in Turkey two months ago.
You know what, secular Turks are really not Muslim, they only say Allah during a massive earthquake or their deathbed.
Thanks to Ataturk, half of the nation doesn't have medieval Arabic ritual tendencies, they worship him, a military genious and a great hedonist who detest islam.
If he had a chance he would sanitize Turkey from Islam.

that's fine if you just want to chip in with unsubstantiated remarks we'll just have to make assumptions about what you're thinking. Feel free to clarify your opinion with regard to the "war on terror" being an exercise in irresponsible political correctness. I gather you'd like to ramp things up a bit by eliminating the limitations of political correctness. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Here's the problem...

It's well understood that the war on terror increases terrorism, it's not a secret. This was understood before the thing was launched.  Recently the director of the CIA admitted this fact for example. If you remove the political correctness from the war on terror it's quite obvious you'll increase terrorism. Only crazy people want this.

THAT'S WHY BUSH MADE THAT POLITICALLY CORRECT SPEECH, SO AS NOT TO FURTHER INCREASE TERRORISM!

I always have mixed feelings when I read something like this.

On one hand I agree that it's idiotic to believe that U.S policy can sort out the Middle East. It will either not help or make things worse.

But, not for a fraction of a second do I believe that the U.S is the cause of the problems. Without any U.S involvement at all, the Middle East would still be a shithole.

Of course, the eyes point out, not in, and it's much easier to blame others for your problems than to blame yourself.

someone yelled something mean at the Packers game during the moment of silence.

it's what people do.  who cares?   both sides' people do it.  Talk away, words don't hurt.
