If you want someone to change for the better, you must offer a fitting path.  And then lead the way yourself.  Donny is a good man and I truly suspect the same is true of you.

We all have a sense of humor, even when it comes  to ourselves but all too often it needs to be tempered with a sense of decency.  On all sides.

Be well.

Back on topic.  I met Draper nearly 40 years ago.  We somewhat resemble one another so it was kinda like looking in a mirror.  I imagine Dave thought he was looking in a Fun House mirror... ;D ;D

Me and Donny just do not get along so we will leave it at that.

Anyways Dave Draper and   Bill Pearl were and are my favourite bodybuilders from the pre 70's era and I admire the fact they have both kept it up, more so with Dave as we have had the same issues

You might not feel that way if you have a teenage daughter. :-\

I only know that which is presented to me.   For example, Stunmovie said Wiggs is quite nice in the real world but he presents himself here (the only place I "know" him) as some sort of nation of islam leaning, pseudo-black suffragette bent upon the decimation of caucasionals except for (maybe) some of the women folk.

An idiot.   Without question, an idiot.

If ever Wiggs proves otherwise, I will state as much.  Donny has yet to go Wiggsian on me.   ;D

Thank you....I posted a few pics around 2 weeks after the contest....I was still cut but had lost a bit of an edge.

I`m no world beater and consider myself kind of a journeyman, but this is the best I`ve ever looked.....better than in my 20`s even

There was nobody that motivated me to get started. I just always wanted to be big and strong. I started training at around 8 years old. I use to do pulls ups, push ups, dead lift a sand bucket. I would tie a belt around my Tonka truck and do curls. I finally had access to weights at 12 years old when my friend's father, who was a fireman, said we could go to the fire station and use the weights whenever we wanted. It just had a barbell, two adjustable dumbbells and a bench. In those days you had to clean a barbell to do military presses and squats. My friend quit after a month but I'd ride my bike everyday to train. I finally saved enough to get my own Sears 110 barbell set and bench at 15. I can clearly remember picking it up at the Sears store in Kahala Mall. I was so damn excited. My older brother made fun of me. He said, "My brother the He-man," in a sarcastic way.

So I officially count my "working out" beginning at 12. So I've been at it non stop for 44 years. It sure doesn't show but what am I suppose to do? Stop? Conclude that this is not for me as many say here? It's just so ingrained as a part of my life that I just can't imagine ever stopping.

I convince my dad to pay for one months training at Mit's Gym when I was 16. Mit was Arnold's go to guy here in Hawaii and was at Arnold's wedding. Both Arnold (when he was governor) and Franco immediately got on a plane when Mit died to attend his funeral. I know Arnold is often bashed as being ruthless and did whatever it took to come out on top, and I believe it. But he never forgot his friends from back in the day. When you consider the years spent as an actor and a politician, he was only a pro bodybuilder for a relatively short time (1969-75) but I bet he looks back on those days as the best and most enjoyable years of his life.

41 years for me. Wes, Funk or anyone else ever have a Bullworker? It was my first serious piece of equipment, before joining any gym.

I remember an old timer in my first gym say that the judges had Poole on top, but, Weider wanted a white guy as the first. Looking at that pic, I believe it.

Poole was a tough guy too. He was the head bouncer of a huge club in Manhattan.
that was the cheetah club , he was also a bodyguard, seen below guarding the famous twiggy... did you bump into mike gubillo and or denie walters too

I met her when I was 15, me and 2 other friends got "winter recreation passes" in 1983 to the University of Manitoba gym (it was near our high school, and the gym was huge so they used to whore themselves out like a YMCA!!)
We used to see her come out from the change room, and she scared the hell out of us (we were all 15) as she talked and swore like a construction dude!!!
P.S.  No, I'm NOT kidding...

I used to be obsessed with going heavy, these days it`s more about intensity techniques, less rest between sets, and a strong mind/muscle connection.

I still try triples and stuff at times though..........ingraine d in mind from the old days.
