How many Syrians are middle eastern country's taking in? Look at a map and see how huge some of those middle eastern nations are, compared to Israel . As for the Israel point of view...... why take people in who vow to destroy you. Like inviting a crazy killer into you home with your wife and kids there. We all know that's not going to end well.
Estimate 70 to 75% of those "refugees" are fighting age men between 18 and 45. Some call it an invisible invading army. The women and children are pushed in front so their pictures are taken, giving the impression that all are these women and children.
In the US there are many great Jewish hospitals (as well as great Jewish doctors) and medical centers. Don't have to be Jewish to get the better medical treatment in this county. Many wealthy Muslims from the middle east travel to America to take advantage of the first class medical treatments offered by these Jewish doctors and hospitals. Pretty much an open secret here in the US, but not in Muslim country's. Also many Jewish charity's not just helping the poor and homeless Jew, but all people.
