Frankly, what's the point of putting on muscle to look obese? In clothes, the guy looks like your regular doughnut and burger compulsive eater. Other than being fit and looking fit, why would you put yourself through the training, eating and pinning discipline? He could just sit in his couch and hork huge amount of foods. He'd pretty much would look the same.
Even those off season pics he is carrying less bf than the vast majority of men. I don't pro bers look obese in clothes. Even in a baggy shirt the delts, trap, forearms make it obvious that this is a huge muscular dude. I remember being at a California Pizza and this college football player that wasn't famous but I knew who he was walked in wearing baggy clothes and he turned a lot of heads. Comments I overheard was "He's huge" and "He's just pure muscle." The guy wasn't obese but he was definitely fat. Remember, most people don't have the critical eye that we do here.
But far more importantly, he's a pro bodybuilder. This what he wants to do with his life. How he looks practically naked is far more important than how he looks in clothes. And he does it because that's what he wants and that's how he can make money. A lot of money if he's a successful top pro.
"He could just sit in his couch and hork huge amount of foods. He'd pretty much would look the same."
Probably one of the most asinine statement I've ever read on this board. The difference between a couch potato and a pro bodybuilder is beyond night and day.
