Cop deserves to be tried. Out of all the other officers there he was the only one to shoot at the guy, and did so 16 times. Not sure why it took so long to get the video, and I hope for tax payer purposes this guy wasn't being paid while on leave. And, if he was, it should all have to be paid back.

Also, it sucks this gets turned into a race issue because of the racial turmoil we already have. A chick I went to college with, who was white, had her brother killed in the exact same manner. High on something and had a knife and the cops shot him like 12 times and killed him. They sued and may have got some money, but it doesn't bring back a dead family member.

As far as the kids pic in the cap and gown, are his teeth black, or does he have in a "grill" and they decided to shop it out?

When the incident first happened, here is what the police told the press. What about all the other cops who witnessed this? Certainly they had to fill out reports and were interviewed. Are they going to be charged with perjury?

I didn't realise first time I watched it, but second time I noticed the officer fired for 11 seconds, essentially executing the guy while he was on the ground.That was his undoing.

The cops life wasn't in danger from a knife at that distance. The ~~liar~~ lawyer explained that videos are two dimensional and without sound. It could have been a light saber and we weren't able to see how long it was and hear the intimidating sound made by the BlackGuy Knight's elegant weapon... for a more civilized age.

Could they not put a curfew on guys? Say 9pm, any of them out later than that are up to no good and police have shoot to kill orders. I GUARANTEE this would improve the living standards of the good American people

sometimes cops find that ONE little justification they can use later to say "I nailed that legal threshold"...

Then they get in kill mode, where they just put 16 bullets into a person... and 14 of the rounds into a lifeless pile of flesh.

that's murder. that's beyond finishing him off. That's something we don't see. Something snapped in that cop.
