Maybe so but because of cultural traditions such as stoning, these cultures have survived for thousands of years with honor and dignity. They root out the filt instead of being on a steady moral decline like the west where everyone and every sick thing is accepted.

I think Russia's way of looking at things is going to work. Putin's talking about working with Iran, with Assad, and the rest of the groups that had/have ironclad, and sometime laic, control over their territories.
