Surprise, surprise Donald Trump was right! Of course the mainstream media will never play this clip or the calls into the Howard Stern show after 9/11 of people describing the celebrating going on in Patterson, NJ

The DC Media has spent the last two weeks attempting to destroy Donald Trump with lies. Outright lies, and they are doing so in order to protect a 14 year-old cover up. Not only have eyewitnesses and contemporaneous reports proven Donald Trump 100% correct about Muslims celebrating 9/11, a just-uncovered local CBS News (WCBS-TV in New York) report completely vindicates Trump

Video below is from a September 16, 2001 CBS News in New York:

Howard Stern Caller Confirms Trump: Muslims Did Cheer After 9/11 [Call From September 12, 2001]

On September 12, 2001 a woman calls on the howard stern and confirms trump about muslims cheering after 9/11. In South Paterson New Jersey, Her Husband who was a verizon employee saw Muslims Cheering.

Did it show 'thousands' cheering on television?

I've seen a shitload of 911 videos.  Never saw videos of thousands in jersey city.

I don't fall for anyone calling it - too easy to just make shit up.  I DO buy into video FROM THAT DAY.  But if you want to be POTUS, your words matter.  "Thousands" that "HE SAW ON TV"?   And was it specifically IN Jersey City?

I don't want an explanation of "well, if you throw out THOUSANDS and you don't go with JERSEY CITY, then Yes, it happened".   Trump has to be precise.

Interesting.  Agnostic what do you think about this?

I think Trump lied. Neither of those clips show anything of thousands cheering in Jersey City. The first clip is not even worth talking about as it has 8 people who were "said to be " celebrating.. no video of it exists and it is 8 people. The Howard Stern clip has 3rd hand information and that information when investigated by the authorities who would have zero reason to lie about it said it didn't happen. A large group "rioting in the streets" would certainly have caught L.E. attention. So Trumps claim he saw it on TV.. still nothing to support that

Here is what should have happened.. Trump makes his unsubstantiated claim "I watched in Jersey City, NJ where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as that building came down. Thousands of people were cheering"

Someone in his circle tells Trump he misspoke and he didn't see that.

He has research done and when his cronies can't find a clip of that which would be available.. he formulates a response for the next time it comes up.. but he won't bring it up on his own.. he would hope it just goes away.

When it does get brought up again he says with sincerity "You know, when I said that, I thought it was true. It had been 14 years since the event and in that time, apparently in my mind I melded the reports that exist of it happening, with news footage I saw elsewhere and that obviously isn't the case. I'm glad to say that there were not thousands and thousands in this great country celebrating that atrocious, despicable act"

End of story...

I didn't see thousands.  I didn't hear thousands.

Eight people, and thousands of people, is a completely different thing.

and piecing together parts of explanations, while omitting the thousands claim?

Sorry, trump exaggerated and/or added some CT stuff to it, and got caught up in the emotion of it... BUT because his base is this rabid collection of no-apology jingoists, he CANNOT backtrack on ANYTHING.

Most people would just say "look, dozens, hundreds, the number may be disputed, but the fact is, they cheered".  Trump HAS TO stick with that THOUSANDS claim to keep his base fed.

Unlike my other colleagues, I will admit when I'm wrong and own it and in this case I was wrong  "

He is able to save face while building the illusion of credibility. His supporters will be able to point to that as the sign of a great man, AND, since he didn't come clean on any number of his other exaggerations or lies, they will be able to swallow his load of crap more easily because they believe he would own a lie now.

End of story...

but nooooooo... he can't back off it.. too much ego

Rudy Giuliani: Some New York Muslims celebrated 9/11, but Donald Trump 'exaggerating'

Source: CNN

Washington (CNN)Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Tuesday that while there was some celebrating by American Muslims in New York on Sept. 11, 2001, Donald Trump is "exaggerating" when he said thousands of Muslims were cheering the attacks.

"We did have some celebrating, that is true," Giuliani told CNN's Alisyn Camerota on CNN's "New Day." "We had pockets of celebration some in Queens, some in Brooklyn -- 10, 12, 30, 40" people.

Giuliani recounted hearing about a Muslim-owned candy store where some Muslims were cheering the attacks and were beaten up by children from a neighboring housing development.
