I would love to go to my old Uni and see what it i really like. I was records officer and secretary of law society and did comedy debates. I was most offensive asshole you could imagine and hosted Hollywood A-listers (John C Mc Ginlay, Nancy Cartwright, Leslie Nielsen, Mickey Rooney, Harry Shearer, Will Ferrell) and was as offensive and distasteful as you could imagine. But, it was obviously taking piss.
I fear now that people do not get taking the piss. I see slut walks catching on here from USA even though same issue with rape doesn't exist here/is not as prominent. I see speakers being banned from talking when we allowed radicals to speak and just beat them intellectually with arguments having given them the floor. We had people from BNP (british nationalist party) and left wing commies speak - welcomed them and destroyed them with argument, did not ban them like nowadays.
Sad state if universities cannot entertain free speech.
