I wish you'd do your damm research before spouting off. Cali is a by and large a may issue state for CCP. You can't get a license in most big cities unless you pass a very rigorous check that's highly unfair. They restrict magazines and types of fire arms. You and your lack of knowledge is  representative of most libs and the MSM. Along with that ... I'm not sure what an assault weapon is as assault is a verb not a noun. A rifle is a tool...distinguishable based on magazine size and max effective range.Intent is the discriminator.
