You guys are funny with your little girl voices and attitudes.

funnily enough i would go pretty much anywhere in my country without feeling i needed to be armed with any weapon, whereas you feel the need to arm yourself with a gun just go to the shop. i know which "attitude" i prefer.

Servitude becomes you and you don't even seem to notice your chains. Impressive.

your argument loses weight when you spout stupid shit like that

are you saying the only way to be truly free is to have an arsenal of weapons

great logic skippy

Logic would dictate that since I care not about how I appear to you, that we are completely different people. I am ok with that, apparently you are not.

Two questions:

- does the human condition naturally trend to freedom or to servitude?
- is freedom worth fighting for?

point 1 - as a rule people tend to want to fit in, we are tribal by nature and in every society people rise to be leaders in my opinion that doesn't mean servitude. if you pay your taxes your premise falls down right there

- yes, but my definition  of freedom includes my children being educated in a society where psychos arent wading in to schools with automatic weapons

the tax dollars you spend on military hardware is nearly as much as the rest of the world combined. you really think if the military chose to side with the government in any conflict against the people, that any number of your personal firearms would save you from your own military might...LOL

The US military takes an oath to uphold and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. They do not take an oath to obey the government. As far as military spending, I didn't here any Europeans complaining when the Russians were ready to roll across Europe and make you all communist.

So, you are willing to fight, but also willing to disarm prior?

The "point" about children and automatic weapons is really a silly as hominem beneath this debate.

so did you serve in Germany in the cold war ? I worked with the US Army (Artillery). WE had a few punch ups with them too. All good fun.

why is it silly

its clear the prevalence of automatic weapons in the states facilitates these mass killings

schools are a consistent target

the reason there hasn't been one of these attacks in the uk terrorist  or crazy is because its hard to get these weapons

calling us a nation of servitude is a nonsense we are bombing the middle east with you

we invaded Iraq and Afghanistan with you

if I was called to service my country again I would

but I have no desire to have fifteen guns in my house

you know why

no one is going to come in to my neighbourhood with an ar15 and shoot the place up

its safe here

An AR 15 is not an automatic weapon, getting a full auto weapon in the US requires a class 3 FFL license.

when your argument falls down

fall back on the minor technical details

better to do that than admit everything else is correct  8)

For all you Europeans, who don't mind your own business and want to take guns from Americans, there's a simple solution:

Invade the United States and take them. :D

That is the problem, how can you make an argument when the premise is incorrect? IMHO, the governments of Europe have basically told their populations that they can't be trusted and/or are incompetent to own a firearm. Europeans have been trying to tell us how to do shit since the inception of the US, seems to me we fought for and won our independence. Why? Because we didn't like the rules they tried to impose on us.

And sadly, they've grown comfortable with the fact that their governments do not trust them. Likely, because they do not trust themselves. Sad to be that reliant.

What you don't seem to understand is that guns are an inanimate object, people are the problem. Not a shot was fired on 9/11, not a shot was fired Murrah Federal building, hell the Boston Marathon bombing didn't involve guns until they fuckers were on the run. But they managed to kill a hell of a lot of people. If a person is intent on doing evil, they will find a way to get it done. So you can blame an inanimate object or the people responsible.
