Who says he is intelligent?

He got into school by affirmative action and his grandmother's personal relationships.

If he's so smart....why are his grades not being released to the public?

It's all perception, people make the assumption because he went to Harvard that he is intelligent.

Why aren't his grades being released?

What did he accomplish at Harvard?

How did someone with his beyond weak undergrad get into Harvard?

This "smartest guy in the room" crap is pure political bullshit

Donald trump is a businessman and holds no political office - but nice try dummy
Has there been any Republican that improved race relations?  ???

Why is it the job of a President to do so? Would your true love Trump improve them?  How, when they hate him?

First of all why would a politician of either party want to improve race relations?

I think Lincoln took a step that way.

@Kazan: He can speak but it means and carries nothing. Look at his  speech tonight. Compare it to Churchill (also a bad politician but a great wartime leader and excellent speech writer) who said he spent hours preparing off the cuff remarks.

I won't comment on the content of his speech, he is not my president, but look at his eyes. Vacant, no fire, no intent. Same as his tone. Always tries to sound reasonable when sometimes you should be angry or upset.

"There are some who don't want gun safety at all" this line, he's so full of propaganda shit of a lie.

Some fun owner demand Zero change to any law.  Even those which stop trunk sales to people from Syria without id, which is perfectly legal.

You should read up on the issue.

Ask Dumbass Walter Somecock, he is the one that brought it up.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I don't think selling guns to a foreigner is legal to begin with.

Lincoln?  Are you out of your mind?  He wanted to send them all back to Africa.

Well I'm asking you....... What advantage would there be to politicians? None, gotta keep the peons fighting among themselves, so they don't see what the man behind the curtain is doing.

I don't think its their job, but Walter Somecock seems to think it is, yet he can't answer for it at all.

I know what Lincoln said, but I also know he was a pragmatist...

You can't achieve a massive change in one go. He probably believed what he said, I can't say, but he did start the way for change by stopping slavery... LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act (I think) but you still had Jim Crow and years of blatant discrimination in the south.

The first slave owner in America was a black man.  Some of the slaveowners with the most slaves were black.  Blacks were not treated as bad as you think in the South compared to the north where they could not own property or practice any trade.  Most times "slaves" were basically part of the white families.  Do you think Thomas Jefferson treated them horribly or anyone with wealth for that matter (the majority of people in the South DID NOT own slaves).

Why should there be a change in the laws when the laws (strict) laws have already been set?

Post your train of thought, word for word, linking where you said no republican did squat for race relations to where i suggested Lincoln (abolishing slavery) did. Then how you got to this point here....You are assuming you know what I think and believe....

Like I said... the Civil Rights act did not stop discrimination overtly... it gave a basis to act on. Same as civil war.

@coach you cannot call  gun laws strict when someone who dresses as batman or muslim extremists have an arsenal of weapons.

Please, please, please, let's not turn this into another Civil War debate thread.  The walls of bold red font, cut and pasted over and over, gets rather exhausting.   :-\

the 'gunshow loophole' allows you to sell a gun to a person - without even looking at their ID.
You can meet them at a walmart, sell anyone a gun (criminal, illegal alien, etc) and it's LEGAL.  You don't have to ask in a private sale.  They can be wearing their prison blues or ISIS mankini... does not matter.  it's legal.  And I don't like that law.

Why should there be a change in the laws when the laws (strict) laws have already been set?

are you familiar with the gun show loophole?  It's a HUGE technicality that many want to change.  I'm one of them.

LEGALLY, I can purchase ten AK-47s at my local gun store for ten grand$.

I can drive straight to the gun show, and put on a sign that says "Ten Aks for sale, $20,000" and I can legally sell them to the first person that shows me 20 grand.  I can lead them to my car, accept their cash, no receipt, no ID, no background, no govt involvement... and I can give them the ten weapons and tell them happy hunting.

They can be felons, illegals, on the terror list.  They can be on the FBI top ten list.  They can have warrants.  They can have mental adjudication because they threatened to buy ten AKs and set shit off.

DOesn't matter.  It's legal.  It's a LOOPHOLE.  There's no background check.  I do NOT like this law.  Close it and make them buy guns so terrorists/felons/warranted people will have a harder time getting them.

(Most people - once this is explained - realize the gun show loophole is a bad idea.  Most people)

Again, Lincoln DID NOT abolish slavery.  President did not have the power to do that.  It would take an amendment to the Constitution which had to be ratified by the states.

He died well before the 13th amendment happened, genius.

Furthermore, his Emancipation did not free all of the slaves at all.

Maybe Obama can help you Understand the Emancipation Proclamation.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, but I don't think selling guns to a foreigner is legal to begin with.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gun_show_loophole

I can legally buy 50 rifles.
I can legally sell them to anyone I meet, in a private sale.  Federally protected.

The customer can be freshly shaved, wearing an ISIS t-shirt, muttering about revenge.  And I have ZERO legal requirement to do anything but hand over the 50 rifles and laugh all the way to the bank.  I don't even have to ask for an ID.

(granted, I'd beat the piss out of someone making such a sale - in NO way would I ever do that).

It's a small loophole which could lead to MAJOR problems.  Every gun show, you see dudes walking around gun show, wearing an AR-15, saying "FOR SALE $1800" and every show, it sells.  He goes back to his car, wears in another AR, and walks around until someone willing to overpay a grand will pay him for it.  Over and over. who pays double for a gun?  Someone who wants it anonymous or who cannot buy one legally!!!

I hate it.  I'd like to close this loophole.  They almost did in the 90s, but the senate defeated it.
