Remember when the Nationals competitors all looked awesome ?

Each weight class used to be packed with top level guys.

Each weight class used to be packed with top level guys.

Judging by who we see at these shows, BBing with millenials is not cool anymore. Its the guys 37 and up to 60 who still wear the crazy gym clothes and think 5 percent is cool and hip. U can tell by these pics. Its the old eccentric hardcore sub crowd that wants to don a thong amd do battle. No self respecting person with a good career is into that shit. Maybe mens phsyique but even then, its kind of more for guys n girls without much goin on for them. Thong and short contests attracts the misfits of society now

Dude,in local NPC contests there are at times up to 4-500 competitors.

Not all are in the BB class of course,but there are still tons of younger guys that compete.

Just check MD for contest results and see how many guys there are.

My buddy entered the Nats a few years back without qualifying at all.

As an aside,you can`t expect the promoter to check the contest placings of 4-500 entrants....they just take their word that they qualified because it asks on the entry application.

Dude it's fucked. Even just ten years ago the top-level amateur guys were getting supplement deals (when it meant something) and lots of exposure. Remember Fromm, DuVall, Moyzan and those guys. Classes were stacked.
