Hitler hated socialism and communism and worked to destroy these ideologies. Nazism, confused as it was, was based on race, and fundamentally different from class focused socialism.

both dems and repubs subscribe to socialism.  They just choose different percentages.  Any repub that says only dems use socialism is just ignorant of the facts.  Only the true flat-income-tax politicians (or those who want to make it purely a sales tax system) advocate ending socialism.

every time a repub screams "Obama is a socialist", dems should return with "Yes, trump is slightly less of one"

although with his "nobody under $25k pays a thing" postion may be worse than obama.   $50k, married, no taxes... that's epic socialism

Their brand of socialism was geared toward the state/culture with big business thrown in. As a Canadian in a representative democracy I do not vote for a prime minister (unless I happen to live in their riding). I vote for a representative who's part of a party. My decision is predominantly based on who the representative is.

I hate most people but I am smart enough to know that this is not a good way to live... So I tend to lean towards the most compassionate candidate/party.

With current attackers you're correct. But compassion may help prevent future attacks. Don't get me wrong I'm all for killing people who threaten my country but I'd suggest that there's a slippery slope that the military "yellow-cake" industrial complex tries to manipulate us to go down...

There are no right answers but everyone needs to take a step back to the centre for us to be able to have a discussion. Otherwise it's just endless rhetoric.

you want to really know why???...because there are people who believe that society should progress and move forward...not stay stuck in rigid thinking.....old ideas must give way to new ideas if you want to survive as a nation and as human beings....you guys like to label it "Liberalism"...but its simply progressive thinking......the conservatives want to keep the status quo which is why they deny science and say the earth is 6000 years old (just like ISIS)....they also don't believe in raising wages and believe business is always right.....their answer to all international disagreements is WAR......

Again name an idea they have come up with since Obama has been in office?.........their whole political agenda is saying no and not doing anything to make our country progress as a nation

you know what i have spoken to a lot of ex WW2 German Vets and none spoke good of Hitler and his ideas. They only spoke to me of suffering in Stalingrad. One spoke of eating human flesh to survive when there was no more Horses to kill.
