Author Topic: PREDICTION: Carolina Panthers go Undefeated (Read 7251 times)

Here's how to handle it. Play the starters in every game, if at any point you notice the opposing team is just playing dirty and trying to hurt players instead of win then you pull out some starters. Until then you play all 16 games and get your 2 weeks of rest. Football is a game of perfect timing, taking too much time off screws that up. In the end it they win 16 and lose in the playoffs, the idiots will say it's because he didn't rest his players but if they go 14-2 and lose in the playoffs the same idiots will say it's because they had too much rest.

Carolina needs to focus on keeping healthy for the playoffs. Running the table in the regular season won't mean shit if you're not at your best in the playoffs.

I hate this fucking saying about keeping healthy. Teams don't go out and play with keeping healthy as the key. That is such pussy talk that ESPN commentators harp about. They need to go out and play well and win. Teams that play to keep healthy end up in the group of losers.

In early November, the Giants played the Saints. Eli Manning threw 6 touchdown passes that game. And the Giants still lost.

Also, chalk this up to poor coaching - should have NEVER given a returnable punt at the end - stupid. Not a guaranteed win, but a guaranteed overtime and a shot (N.O. couldn't stop the Giants either).

I'm sorry, but somebody 6-7 vs. a team that's 13-0 ... I gotta think someone's emotionally impeded or straight-up crazy to bet against the Panthers.

I dunno about Carolina (which should actually read CHARLOTTE Panthers, FWIW) going undefeated, but until somebody gives me a legitimate reason or few why the "Giants' (LOL oh brother

) could beat them, eh ... I'll believe it when I see it.

I predict the only team that can handle the Panthers this season is the Patriots. It could be a repeat of their match-up at the Super Bowl over 10 years ago, only this time I'd favor the Panthers by a small margin.

As for anyone whining about Carolina losing in the first play-off game, get over yourselves, Yankee cocksuckers

Giants are better than their record - coaching and clock mgt has cost a legit 3 wins, possibly 4. Could be 9-4 or even better.

Plus it's HARD to go 16-0.

Given that, I'm not saying the Giants are going to win - they could get crushed. It's just not ridiculous, especially when vegas only has them giving -4.5.

Only watched the panthers seahwaks game, but they barely squeeked by on that one, and that was back when the Hawks offense was a mess. Looked very average in that game, to me anyway.

Yeah, they always seem to peak at the end. Honestly, they could easily have 10+ wins this season, tho, and any of their past three seasons could have easily gone worse than this one. The first half of those seasons were full of close calls and insane comebacks (including a 20+ point comeback against the Texans a couple years ago, who I believe had zero wins at the time) that were a hair's breadth from 'going the other way'.

Seems that's the story with the NFL in general tho (not that I watch much)... Lots of close games.
