For instance, in the US, "unemployment" has a finite end date. You can't collect it forever.

No real timeframe but after a set amount of time they send them on college courses and make them sign in more often I think and have to comply or else loose there benefits, they all must have ways of working around it as I have friends who have claimed benefits since we left school 16 years ago and haven't heard of them doing this shit.

In the US, as long as you put in 3 applications, you have done what they required. You can apply at a McDonald's and as for $100,000 US a year. Knowing they won't hire you and you can keep collecting.
