Strydom had mass,shape,condition,maybe the best delts all time ,plus height and looked great at many bodyweight and ages amazing like ferrigno.

Ronnie's arms were probably 4" bigger; everyone striving for a 1.2 inch arm gain for months/years would know that 8 times that is huge. Lee's arms were not great but I think (as someone with small arms relative to torso

) that people with oversized arms are seen as normal over those with proportional arms.

Great legs too. Strydom has good quad shape, and GREAT legs considering his height.

It is obvious that we are talking two different things, and the career of both of these guys doesn't happen by accident. There has to be reason why Strydom has only 5th place at the mr O, and why he was competing mainly in the GP tours. He could look better in the photos, but live on stage he was nothing at all, and that is all what matter in this sport

I've seen Strydom and Haney at Gold's Venice doing separate photo shoots one day after the '88 Olympia. Strydom looked great, ripped and full...but Haney looked otherworldly. I've never seen such thickness and density. Friendly, down to earth and humble to boot. A true champion in every sense of the word.

He seem to be in good condition, but still struggling with these guys which were beaten by Haney with no problems at all, so could he be better than Haney? In some picture, maybe, but never in real life. At 1989 he didn't have those cannonball delts at all, so it seem to me that he found the Synthol when he change the federation and pumped his delts in to new shape. Maybe that is one of the reasons why his career ended at 1992.
