i get it... media outrage is an exciting thing.  but the article just isn't accurate - this story was HUGE for a few weeks.  nobody ignored it.  EVERY major outlet covered it extensively.  

The story was not huge. As an example, searching for "michael brown" results in 8 times more hits than "jessica chambers". If you were to look at talk shows and tv stations I would not doubt "michael brown" was discussed 50-100 times more than "jessica chambers". I would be surprised if whoopi goldberg or ophra ever even mentioned her name on air.

The Jessica Chambers killing qualifies as a hate crime a million times more than the justified Michael Brown shooting.

I have a news story for you 240. You are defending a false narrative. In today's world white people are victims, and blacks are aggressors. So you have to ask yourself, are you a liberal or a Marxist oppressor. Liberals champion and defend the victims. A true liberal would be decrying black on white crime which is by a very huge margin out of proportion and more prevalent than white on black crime.

This is the thing, black on white crime is not covered 24/7, and by every news station because white people don't have leaders, like the black community (Sharpton, Jackson, etc). Although, Sharpton and Jackson are not leaders, just greedy assholes. But much of the media coverage happens when Sharpton and Jackson rear their ugly head, and protests happen.

When white crime happens, there are no white leaders protesting, and white people tend not to rally about this stuff. So, what is too cover, except the actual crime itself. The news will basically say a crime occurred, then it goes away. For the media, there is no sensationalism behind just a crime occurring. What they are looking for is protests and leaders, like what occurs when a white cop shoots a black person.

I obviously think all crime should be given equal attention, but in the media's eyes, they are looking for the protests, rallys, and the "leaders" protesting. White community doesn't have this, so the media just reports on the crime, and its never mentioned again.

While I agree that there are distinct celebration and places (little italy and irish parade), the new culture in America really do not see it that way. I think there is more to it than distinct identities, such as russian, italian, or irish. At the end of the day, an irish and italian are going to look at each other as pretty much equals, given they have the same skin tone (more or less). I think there is something more going on that makes it difficult for white people to unify.

I guess we have to disagree here.  No, it's not as big as natalie holloway, but it's national story, not local, so by definition... it's pretty huge.  There are 150 people per day in the USA that get murdered.  How many of them get national coverage for weeks?

An honest question to you: What is your take on black people (mainly black women, it seems) who dress flamboyantly 'native'? I agree with you that there are no pure bloodlines, not for blacks, not for whites, not for any group.
