Cats are far more hygienic in general, not to mention they do not slobber on you like a dog (I like dogs but think how many more chances they create to spread germs).

Either way, neither makes me sick, neither pisses me off - by default.

I have talked to doctors that treat kids with the beginnings of allergies...They literally prescribe, "Get a dog, and a dog that spends time both outside and inside"...

They believe that the small amount of pathogens introduced by having a dog is perfect for acclimating young immune systems to the real world.

I have a cat. He's the "alpha dog" in a house full of dogs. He runs the whole show. He plays with the dogs LIKE a dog. I saw him once do a "Matrix" run along the side of one of the dogs and then jet into the other room. He's a tough SOB too, I found a pack of razor replacement blades that he chewed up. Think about that for a minute.
