Speaking of Larry Holmes, one of the most underestimated boxers of all time.

Said his straight left jab was like a pile driver. For the average fan, somewhat boring to watch his fights, but his  abilities at defense and choosing the right time to put his right hand into motion could be something to behold.

A very powerful man, who seemed to gain respect inside and outside the ring.

QFT, why would anyone film a drunk brain damaged Frazier hitting the heavy bag is beyond me. One of the bests of all time. I watched every Frazier fight back in the day. No one ever talks about how Ali was banned from boxing for dodging the draft and Frazier fronted him money.  Then when Ali got his license back he turned his back on Frazier.

Very good book called "ghosts of manilla" by Mark Kram covers this. Does not paint Ali in the best light.

I wouldn't say Ali turned his back on Joe, just that Joe took everything Ali said so personally, for a tough guy, Frasier sure was sensitive.

when fraziers family home is getting threats and rocks thrown through the window because ali cant keep his big mouth shut  i would be "sensitive" aswell.

ali has turned his back on many others including malcolm x, archie moore
