Someone said straight after the 2001 O that the real winner was Dennis James who was back in 7:th, if the rules were strictly used. Dont remember the details he based that on tho.

I don't think that can be done. Looking that good and doing herion?
Big fan of Kevin, but I realize the amount of "supplements" he had
to use. Considering he only trained and dieted 3-4 months for a
show. He is "fullblown" of himself and steriods at that time, i think ;-)

still believe it's better with ron holding it for 9 yrs which it should end given his BSN contract is over. dont think the title would be worth as much if there had been 6-7 MrO over Ron's reign. You'd basically have Kevin beating Flex yr and forgetting to train his back... so Shawn beats him the next yr. Shawn comes in a bit soft and Flex gets him on symmetry. Then... Flex adds oil and Chris bits the bullet and upsets him. Shawn comes back the following in shape and beats Chris b/c he spent too much time getting high and celebrating his previous yr's victory. Jay is next in line. He'll make a good O for the next 3-5 yrs before Phil or some unk monster will hold it for a couple of yrs.

Ronnie is the most dominate of this era at O. Even when he is off... he can overpower the current crop of pros.

IN 01 Jay showed up looking like a different person. Hard as nails but not as hard as ronnie from the back. Ronnie beats him from the back every time....Olympias since Samiar have been won from the back....As far as Levrone, thats a joke right. The guys legs have been rediculous since the late 90s....

IMO, Kevin should have won in 2000 and 2002. He had weak legs, esp in 2002. But from the front it didn't hurt him that much.
IF Kevin had won, things as far as aesthetics would have been much better in bodybuilding. Where bodybuilding is today it can
only get worse. It's a freakshow. Kevin is a legend, but with todays judging criteria and maybe politics he never won. Sadly...

kevin should NOT have won in 2000:

Ronnie's back made kevin's back look like a little boy's.

Kevin fell into the same trap that most other Ronnie challengers ran into:

They had a better ab and thigh, but not a whole lot else to go on- and they get murdered from the back..

Kevin of 2000 was not good enough to overcome Ronnie's 2000 shape.
Had Kevin matched his early 90's condition (ie he had legs) it might have been different.

But Ronnie still looked pretty damn good in 2000:

even though he was way too heavy that year.
