Didn't end well

"In an attempt to prove to a group of prospective articling students that the glass in the Toronto-Dominion Centre was unbreakable, Hoy threw himself through a glass wall on the 24th story and fell to his death after the window frame gave way.[1] He had apparently performed this stunt many times in the past, having previously bounced harmlessly off the glass. The event occurred in a small boardroom adjacent to a boardroom where a reception was being held for new articling students. Hoy was a noted and respected corporate and securities law specialist in Toronto. He was a professional engineer, having completed his engineering degree before studying law.

"At this Friday night party, Mr. Hoy did it again and bounced off the glass the first time. However, he did it a second time and this time crashed right through the middle of the glass."

In another interview, the firm's spokesman mentioned that the glass in fact did not break, but popped out of its frame, leading to Hoy's fatal plunge.

Hoy's death contributed to the closing of Holden Day Wilson in 1996, at the time the largest law firm closure in Canada.

It didn't occur to him to think of the frame before he killed himself, but you know that it ran through his mind all the way down.

His final thought probably involved blaming someone else, too.

That would be one of these awkward situations where everyone would be standing there not wanting to be the one who laughed first.   :) :D ;D

What a moron. If he had the testicular fortitude, he would have done things the right way and had a shot at O'Hearns record...he would have had the respect and admiration of everyone then.

I hate this shit. World record for running through panes of glass in football gear. Like those records where someoje tosses 20 frogs at a target in 14 seconds beating old record by 3 frogs.

Few pages on... mike powell jumped 8.95m in Tokyo in 1991 almost as a footprint to one of the greatest nights in human athletic endeavour.

Love the paneful pun.
