He has 60 million to spend.  It's now or never.  Gathering the heavy hitters, big money from the party.  Stop Trump = all that matters now.

Republican heavy hitters join Jeb Bush campaign in Virginia

Several pillars of the Virginia Republican establishment have signed on with the flailing presidential campaign of Jeb Bush. Thomas F. Farrell II, CEO of utility giant Dominion Resources, and Richard Cullen, chairman of the influential law firm McGuire Woods, have endorsed the former Florida governor, the campaign will announce Wednesday. -snip- Former House majority leader Eric Cantor joined the campaign as a co-chair in August, but new to the list are his longtime chief of staff Kristi Way and his right hand within the state party, Linwood Cobb.

Trump isn't happy about what they're doing in Virginia.

On Twitter, Donald Trump blasts Virginia GOP for loyalty pledge

Donald Trump slammed the Republican Party of Virginia via Twitter on Sunday for its plan to require that 2016 primary voters sign a statement confirming they are Republicans. Trump and others say the requirement could discourage independent and first-time voters from casting primary ballots in Virginia, where primaries are open to all registered voters. According to some experts, the voter pledge has the potential to hurt Trump in particular, because his un-orthodox candidacy has attracted voters disenchanted with traditional party politics. -snip- David I. Ramadan (R-Loudoun) said Sunday that he supports the party requirement.  wash post

Team Jeb spreading the money - Party ready to gang up on Trump.

Republican candidates and parties in key primary states are among the first beneficiaries of Jeb Bush's Right to Rise PAC.

The committee launched by the former Florida governor and prospective 2016 Republican presidential candidate announced on Friday it gave nearly $123,000 in contributions. The largest payments were $10,000 each to the Republican Parties of Florida, Iowa, Nevada and South Carolina, as well as the New Hampshire Republican State Committee - each playing an important role in early presidential primaries for 2016.

In addition, the Bush PAC gave $5,200 each to individual Republican candidates, such as U.S. Sens. Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Richard Burr of North Carolina, Chuck Grassley of Iowa, Rob Portman of Ohio and Tim Scott of South Carolina.

GOP House members who also were beneficiaries of Right to Rise PAC money were U.S. Reps. Barbara Comstock of Virginia, Trey Gowdy of South Carolina

Republican strategist: Some GOP House and Senate candidates will flee convention if Trump is the nominee

Saying a Donald Trump presidential nomination will bring out “the unusual suspects” at the GOP convention in Ohio this summer, a Republican strategist said down-ticket candidates running for Congress will skip the convention altogether to avoid being linked to the controversial frontrunner.

Appearing on CNN’s State of the Union, Ana Navarro — who doubles as a CNN analyst — told host Jake Tapper that a Trump nomination is “going to put a lot of us in a funky mood.”

“I think you’re going to have a bunch of unusual suspects at the convention if it ends up being Donald Trump,” she explained. “You know I’ve said that a Donald Trump nomination would be very bad for some of the senators, some of folks running statewide in some of the purple and blue states. People like [New Hampshire senator] Kelly Ayotte and [Ohio senator] Rob Portman. I’m not sure how much of the traditional Republican mainstream usual suspects who go to a convention you would see if that’s the case.”

Pressed by Tapper to predict whether candidates would avoid the convention, Navarro reiterated her point, adding Ted Cruz’s name for good measure.

“I think you’re going to see some of the folks running in blue and purple states running away from our nominee if it is Donald Trump, maybe even Ted Cruz,” Navarro asserted.

It'd be so entertaining to see them pull together and still get obliterated.
