I was , but, I ended up divorced again.
I just turned 59 and am fully retired.
The real deal is/was I worked a civil service job ( Naval services GS civilian) for 26 yrs after my time in the USMC.
Then , I worked part time at a community college teaching vo-tech machine work.

No more wife, no more job = nothing left to go for but a comeback on getbig.com

I just moved to Colorado , it's peaceful here and retirement is ok.
