I think the reason behind Howard's multiple failed marriages is that on paper he seems quite a good catch, professor, ex national bodybuilder ect but when they move in the horrific truth becomes apparent when the whole house stinks of shit all day long from fat guy flatuance, only ever talks about going to gym never actually going, him seedily lurking outside the toilet door wanking every time his wife tried to get a shit ect ect
A few weeks of this and they run for the hills

probably wanking to bodybuilders and talking about bodybuilding 24/7 did not help either.

If you think his threads about longing for bodybuilding or reliving it over and over again for long and boring imagine when he actually verbalized it to his wife.
She probably ran off screaming into the night.
I suspect the dogs will chew off their leashes and follow suit soon enough.
