A real-life version of Fred Flintstone's vehicle was slapped with a parking ticket in Key West this week.Authorities put out a message on Facebook in an effort to find the owner after the replica car - which featured zebra-skin seats and bone-shaped headrests - was found illegally parked in the street.
"This Flintstone car is in front of 828 Emma Street," the message read. "It is illegally parked in the public right of way. It's been red tagged, but the city would really like to find the owner before we have to take it away. Please help us find the owner of this ride... QUICKLY!"
Within minutes social media was awash with hundreds of tongue-in-cheek comments suggesting that officials try tracking down Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble at Mr Slate's Quarry.
The official Flintstones Facebook page also contributed with "Sorry about that! - Fred Flintstone."
Fortunately though, in the end, the owner of the vehicle eventually did come forward to claim it.
