Both are legendary heroes that command the utmost respect from their peers and the greatest disdain from their enemies. But while on the subject, I never considered he-man to have strength in the league of superman, never was it shown in the cartoons and even less so in the dolph lundgren action sci-fi masterpiece.

IMO it depends on the location of the fight. If there is no yellow sun or if magic is involved then He-Man stomps badly, if Supes is at full strength in a power v power battle he wins. I dont think He-Man has any feats that put him above the son of Krypton in regards to speed and that could be key.

(Skeletor has beaten him i believe and im sure it was something to do with magic)

Realistically Superman isnt even a top tier guy today - mid card showings at best. Superman Prime is a different kettle of fish but DC & Marvel both have a plethora of characters that would smack his arse like a spoilt child.
