But when you mix all of that together, plus use of substances, then it may become a bigger issue. You really can't isolate ONE variable (former geek) as the deciding factor in any human behavior.

Umm.....cops are always in the news. It's just that all of the accused cops look like normal people.
I would say that having juiced-up cops would be more of a benefit than a liability. Remember what they have to deal with.
I would like some PED's too, if I was trying to corral an addict on PCP, who is fighting back, or the added strength to subdue a bigger perp.
That also brings me to another point: Why don't all cops have a partner? Seems asinine to have single cops patrolling. It should be standard to have a brother in blue always by your side.
