Hygiene, yes, an important subject. I had a mate, Larry, who went to Europe when he was 19. When he returned a few years later he saw things differently.

He told us the French washed their hands before going to the toilet and after whereas we usually wash only afterwards. Then he shocked us by stating

that almost everyone didn't wash their backsides after using a toilet. Of course he was right and the thought remained with me. Maybe there has to be

an additional feature of toilets, like in some fancy Japanese places, where you aim jets of warm, soapy water to clean up after? Then warm air to dry us off. Yes,

that should be something urgent for everyone to attend to, especially the great unwashed Flotsam of Getbig.

The best thing anyone can do is just keep a great distance away from nearly everyone and never let them touch you.  Most humans are disgusting beings.

I also now take my shoes off near the door when I enter my home, so I don't bring in the filth and germs from outside. Especially not into my bedroom.

You mean being "less hygienic" or "more unhygienic". Makes you wonder about so-called standards of living. I think Christians can blame the Bible because

Jesus was asked if one should wash hands before eating and replied it wasn't necessary as was customary with the Jews at the time. Of course there

was no actual Jesus giving advice but writers composing that book in Greek. A pity he didn't tell everyone about germs and so on. Wash your hands
