how do juiced up dudes stay in the same weight class while getting stronger and stronger

take this fella for example, he's 65'er and he's added over two hundred pounds to his total while staying in the same weight class  ???

"Here is a man that was stuck for 3-1/2 years at a 1640 total, who was able to increase to 1865 by using this method of training. I am very proud of Angelo. He is our best all-time lifter with the Schwartz formula. This is just the beginning for Angelo, and this we are sure of."

so how the hell do these dudes gain so much strength without putting on size while on gear  ???

It's all about technique. For example in the sumo deadlift, many of these small guys barely bend over at the waist at all, it's more like a squat than a deadlift. The guy in the OP isnt stronger than tommywishbone muscularly, it's that he optimizes his angles and has favorable angles from the beginning for that lift.

Another strong Finnish sumo puller with a WR (I think) from the past stood in front of a mirror for hours every day just stretching and optimizing his pulling angles. Now his hips are shot of course but you can gain tremendously on your total by continual small tweaks in technique.

So a decently built kid with no bodysuit is squatting 600 pounds.

Yet, you have these powerlifters who are tub of lards, bellys hanging over their waist, wrapped up like mummys, wearing a bodysuit, outweighing this kid probably by 200+ pounds, yet not deadlifting much more than this kid.

It might seem like you have a point, but then, to those who have knowledge of such things, it's clear you're not one of them.

HTH

P.S. This guy is a seriously impressive puller. No doubt.

Of course he is strong, but I assume a sumo deadlift is easier than a more conventional style deadlift.

In your opinion, how much you think he could deadlift with a conventional pull?

Kid's strong both ways, he pulls almost #623 conventional here -

His bench always lagged a little behind the squat and deadlift but he's beginning to bring it up as well.
