it's clearly obvious that when the bum almost sent the challenged guy to the ground, the guy felt ashamed in front of his students and fair play was no more. he acted emotionally to preserve his ''dignity'' and the rest is history

i use the word ''guy'' to address only the ones that deserve it (no homo)

Fighting is a funny thing, there seems to be levels we are prepared to go to when fighting.  I remember many many years ago I got in a fight with a guy and I threw this guy on the bonnet of a car and started pounding him.  Soon after his mate and a woman jumped in and both started hitting me from behind.  So I had to stop my attack and make some distance to now take on all three of them.  While I was doing that one of them grabbed a garden shovel, the woman started coming at me so as to distract me so the other two could launch their attack, one was looking for an opening to hit me with the shovel.  This woman was throwing all types of crazy hooks at me so I jabbed her in the face and after doing this was close enough to the guy with the shovel whom I successfully wrestled it away from him and then they all fled.  The woman went inside and grabbed a knife and by the time she had come back about 10 police had arrived and surrounded the place and they arrested the woman.  I almost got charged over that fight but was able to talk my way out of it.  

But anyway, my point was, at some point in the fight I went from yeah, let's throw down and may the best man win to I am now ready to kill anybody who touches me.  That was the first time I realised even when fighting we hold back, our humanity prevents us from completely letting go in a fight, until we snap, like hulk hogan used to do back in the day.


Good post, however I would advise trying to do what Hogan does to get psyched up  ;D

it was the 80's, the peak of karate's popularity because of the karate kid

i don't think anybody older than 8 does karate these days

dont know in murrica but they sure do here....i have a  far 30 year old co worker that does it, nice guy but he would would be so beat down in a street fight with a a regular bodybuilder Schmoe if he triee the moves he has showed me and the others at work why we laughed at his kicks
