Youtube announced a while back they wanted to charge suscribers like a cable service.  They are trying to get live TV streams on youtube.  They see the money hulu and such are making and want in.  They'll start paying people based on a subscription model instead of ads.

YouTube will not continue to send payouts to these so called "YouTube Celebrities" so what will they do next. The reality is that YouTube no longer needs these dimwits to publicize their already huge monster. The majority of them would not be qualified to work a real job. I see a lot of desperate "vloggers" searching for a dollar in the near future.

You do realize that FB pays these people too, right making it impossible for youtube to stop or else the youtube stars will not publish to youtube only videos telling you to visit their FB videos.
