They spent a year (correctly) saying romney was an anti-gun, romneycare-writing RINO douchebag.

THEN they had to reverse course and shout his praises once he won the nomination.  Sucked.

So this time  they know trump is a major douche, BUT they are realistic he may win it... so they're just shutting up.  Even they cannot defend some of the crap he says.
