the absolute best thing about this video is the guy screaming at him while he trains, not just saying words to encourage him but really screaming at him with these bug eyes, he looks crazy, it's great, funny as hell

No idea about the plates.  They must be pretty damn dense if they are indeed 45 pounds.

Here is Dennis doing 585 pounds on the incline bench for three reps using those same plates:
