Very true! Ian was very under-rated for some reason I never understood.  I remember being at a British GP in the early 90's when Ian didn't get the callout for the top 6 comparisons - cue booing... For some reason Mike Quinn was on the stage? (not competing) and he had a microphone in his hand and dropped the f-bomb in Ian's support - cue cheering...

That's true as well, which reminds me - Warning:  another shit story that goes nowhere

Eddie Elwood was the first pro I ever saw in the flesh, so to speak.  A local nightclub owner arranged a 'seminar' with him.  He was wearing jeans and a jumper, but the jumper was tucked into his belt - I couldn't comprehend how somebody could be so wide!! All I can remember about the seminar was how wide he looked, and his recommendation of that vet combo 'Drive' - was it EQ plus menthandriol diprop? Never got round to it though... *old man sigh*

Was that during the era of the white Arron jumper by any chance?...eddy was colossal in person,he promoted the 1st show I done as a jnr, traps and shoulder width were mind blowing... helps both he and Ian were over 6ft, they would stand out a mile..


They were both real monsters, 280lbs + at a time before mega dose gh and slin, I've spoke to both and were very honest about the abuse it took ( as honest as any bodybuilder is, as some even lie to them selves!)

White Arron jumper indeed LOL were you there!!  Ha ha  I never met Ian Harrison but saw him on stage a few times.  Another monster in the flesh was Dinosaur in Wolverhampton town centre, with a crowd following him LOL
