What's to hot to store test?
« on: January 16, 2016, 08:19:03 AM »
Had some vials in my car and it was 80 degrees the other day... Still good?  What's to hot?

When I read this i thought you were thing of storing them 'prison' style....

Any medicine should be stored at room temp or lower as a general rule of thumb

But, is it ruined if it gets too hot?

I'm sure they'll be ok, air tight vials.... I used to warm mine up before shooting and no harm ever came of it

Wouldn't want to store long term at 80 plus deg. Short term is fine. The melting point of test cyp is over 200 deg.

OP, what is your body temperature?
what do you think happens to oil you inject into your body?

you can store your gear in the sauna if you want to.
melting changes the aggregation state of the hormone, nothing else.
melting point of test E is around room temperature. test E raws are usually liquid, same for EQ.

unless OP parks his car in the oven then theres nothing to worry about EVER.

i put my gear on the stove before injecting every single day... and ive had it boil a couple times. works all the same.

I though the hormone was a protein and denatured at a higher temp

ever seen a denatured bottle of test? lol
 ???
testosterone is a steroid hormone
steroid hormones dont have a protein structure. theyre derived from cholesterol
(protein structures do not denature below body temperature either anyway, except for acidic reactions etc)

some polypeptides (which partially are hormones too) have a protein structure.
these peptides can degrade with heat (especially GH)
not steroid hormones.

Actually most hormones are proteins (insulin etc).   Test is a lipid hormone

Never had a "too hot" problem with test. I've had it get too cold. Then you have to warm it to break up the crystals so you can fill the syringe.

yes.
as i said, testosterone is derived from cholesterol, which is a lipid ;)
GH, peptides, insulin etc all consist of a certain amino acid sequence = protein structure
except for GH most of them are pretty stable though. i dont know about heating but insulin never really goes bad, you can toss it around, throw it against the wall and theres pretty much no degradation over time whatsoever.

steroid hormones dont have a protein structure. they are VERY stable.
as primemuscle said the only issue is if your gear gets too cold, however that doesnt destroy the hormone either. it just makes it come out of solution with the oil.
