CHICKEN OF THE SEA

Used to be that you were lucky to get 3 ounces (85g) of tuna out of a 6 ounce can once it was drained, even tho it SAYS 2.5 servings @ 56g per serving, which if my math is correct, should be about 140 grams per can.  I weighed 2 cans today - drained and both weighed out @ 66g per  >:( which is less than 2-1/4 ounces.

Let's see if Chicken of the Sea responds to my flaming correspondence.

I'm suprised you would belive that shit, that what.. a ~170g can of tuna would contain 140g of product.

I buy 425g cans and realistically expect around 150g per serve.

That sucks, so approximately how many grams of protein are we really getting from a can a tuna? I usually calculate it as 35. It might be as  low as 25? I go w/ starkist by the way, yummmy!

Received a response today basically indicating all sorts of "reasons" why there could be variations  ::) , but ultimately saying it's not the norm.  BS  ::)
They included two coupons for free cans.  BFD  ::)  I'm not a fan of canned tuna anyway, so I won't miss it.  :P

Tuna used to be a great source of protien but at over 50 cents a can it no longer worth it.

Stop being so cheap. Tuna tastes better than meat, and probarly has got less AAS and other chemical stuff.

I have read that Tuna contains a lot of mercury.  Any of you concerned about this?
