Dada5000 650lbs raw bench press in a T-shirt
« on: January 17, 2016, 04:07:54 PM »
Anyone else see the Netflix documentary "Dawg Fight?"  Dada5000 with No powerlifting gear, no gloves or belt, he puts up 650lbs in a T shirt with no warm up in his back yard. A real lift or some sort of fakery? Anyone with a 500lbs raw bench usually is worshipped, but haven't heard anyone else talk about this damn near world record lift (if it's real?!?).

Yes, gloves would up his PR considerably.  ::)

Haven't seen this lift, but I'd imagine it's horseshit.

Yes, he's within 50lbs of the world record without an ounce of bench training in his life.

Nubian trickery is afoot -

.

Bigfoot quality footage, no bar bend, etc....

---------------------

#315 for a few reps here (around #40 seconds in), I could see a legit #405 maybe -

Total BULLSHIT on the 650lb bench.  Made me laugh out loud.

So much fakery

U think he's smart enough to take it? Is there fake plates in the video?

I think so, he understands hype, and is street smart enough to get a buzz going. You can't tell much from the video, but at #650 you'd see bounce and flex in a bar even with bad video. And if he really was putting up #650 like that, we'd know, there'd be tons of video, and he'd be making money from it, #650 would still best 99.999999999999% of the professional powerlifters in the world.

I think he probably got his hands on some technique bumper plates and mixed them in with the real ones. Technique bumpers would be easy to borrow from most MMA or Crossfit gyms. They're used to teach the Olympic lifts to smaller people, and are the size of a real #20/45 plate, but only #5-10lbs or #2.5 - 5kg on average.

Or Florida being a fitness town, I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of plastic prop plates around.

Technique plate -
