Ibuprofen is really against inflammation but by acute pain not really much help.

Yeah..i use it to minimize swelling and get me through minor injuries faster.  Pain is just pain for that stuff....just have to deal.

If you're taking pain killers for "workout pain" you're addicted to painkillers aka you're a drug addict. That's cool and everything, but just call it what it is. Addiction.

Nubain and GHB dependence is actually stipulated in the IFBB contract.

Never used Ibuprofen but because of this thread I went out and bought some. Hopefully it will relieve some of the training pains I have like when my Achilles gets all painful after a run.

Oxycodon is opium based so i only used it when i had acute pain in my neck. This drug is very strong and not just sold over the counter here. Indeed you need a special Doctors script because it´s classed as an opioid. Even when i went to a chemist here they asked a lot of questions. THIS IS ONLY PRESCRIBED UNDER A DOCTORS SUPERVISION. Not for normal pains with training.

After I had my bicep rupture operation I was in so much pain but I'm not a medicine guy. My wife told me if I don't take the prescribed oxycodone that she would take it cause she couldn't stand seeing me so miserable. I took one pill and in a half an hour I was laughing hysterically at a cartoon on tv.  I threw the bottle of oxycodone the next day in the garbage.  I can see how using something like that for an extended time could lead to a life of being a junkie.

never made me laugh but did take the pain away. I took it maybe 4/5 weeks 2 tabs in 24 hours. Lets distinguish between acute pain and what is bearable. I do not know if they prescribe it more readily in the US but such Drugs are only prescribed under certain circumstances here. I think if a Professor prescribed it it is warranted. Would this Drug turn you into a junkie or addict..sure if not controlled.

I laughed at the comedy in the cartoon because I was feeling no pain. I'm sure the drug in some way contributed to my silly mood when I was just sitting in horrible pain 30 minutes before.

The drug in the states is highly regulated. The street value of the drug is through the roof and has led to a heroin epidemic in this country. Heroin is about $10 dollars a hit. The junkies wanting the pills has led to a crazy amount of Pain management doctors who just prescribe the stuff to these junkies.

For any pain that isnt ''serious''. Ibuprofen 800/1000 mg twice a day. All inflammations will be gone and you can continu to go hard.

Pcm for the hangovers. Oxycodone's for fun :)

Tried tramadol once, wasnt impressed.
