Will definitely go down as one of the worst ever pro's.

At least he was smart enough though to get out before his health deteriorated, rather than continue chasing a pipe dream.

I remember reading a story on RX or MD about someone who bumped into him outside Gold's in Venice and they asked what he did all day long and Down Hill got all angry and replied "I am a professional athlete just like Michael Jordan or Lebron James. Would you ask them what they did all day?" Pure Gold.

Made the same mistakes as Trey Brewer, bulked up too heavy in the Off-Season so he lost too much muscle dieting down for a contest. This burned out his receptors within a few short years. Now he has to make a living as snake-oil salesman for some shady ionized water company.

When he was in Vegas all the time, he was getting bigger and improving. He was never going to be a good pro, and he knew it. I talked to him from time to time and he was nice guy. It was strange the way he was always treated. The other pros out here hated him and weren't nice to him at all. I know he looks bad in a lot of pics, but he wasn't a small dude in person, pretty strong too. When he walked in the gym when he was in shape, he was big. Taller than a lot of the pros too.
And all the people out here that knew him well say that he quit because of health problems, not to do mma. That was just a way for him to keep training and make money.
