I will be at that weight soon. Whats your take? Dexter can barelly move that kind of weight and Haney used that as his max.

I will be at that weight soon. Whats your take? Dexter can barely move that kind of weight and Haney used that as his max.

Congratulations on your accomplishment,

It goes to show that some people can build a large amount of development without training with what most trainees would consider is heavy weight.

About 12 years ago I remember seeing a 5 ft 2 bodybuilder who must of weighed around 200lbs in fairly solid condition train. The kid was going no heavier than 40lb dumbbell curls, 225lb squats, 180lb lat pulldowns, but he was massive.

All this while I was squatting double what he was doing for just as many reps; I didn't have the leg development that he did. You could play connect the dots with the pimples on his back, and I was clean so I'm sure that that had a large impact.

But it also shows that some people will respond favorably to less than others.

How many people can start at least 10 threads about how great they are in one day?  Adonis only starts about 5 and I can't think of anyone else.

Seriously Alexxx, stop.  You're an idiot and your really not helping yourself.  You are not a future mr. o, you're not even a future mr. local jr. high.  You're a chump and you keep on confirming you're a chump with every post you make.  "I have 18 inch arms", "I weigh 240lbs"..blah, blah, blah....you're a moron.

Haney did four plates for five or six reps in his 1987 video with the same "gym form" which I would do 305ish for one with.  If I stay natural, I'm not sure if I would ever get four plates, but I think 350-370 might be a possibility.

I hope Lee gets this transferred to DVD.  Do you guys notice bodybuilders are usually pretty bad at marketing themselves?   ???  Lee is one of the best ever and he is like "the forgotten BB".

Ya that video is very good. He did 6 reps and so did his training partner. TY Ropeman? Notice how they both had similar shape and they trained the same.. tells you something..

Funny thing is I never remember seeing Ty in a competition.  I couldn't dig him up on www.musclememory.com either.  Maybe he was just big for the sake of being big?  He looked about 5'10 and could easily compete in the 220s judging by his condition in the video.  He was harder than Haney (just not as big).  He was the first to tell Haney that he had the potential to break Arnold's record.

im natural................. ....but i dont flat bench.  If i could i know i couldnt do 4 plates.  My cousin used to be able too, but he stopped after a while as he said he was straining so hard he was bursting blood vessels in his face.
Bench is just an ego lift anyway.

I am pretty sure he never competed. He was awesome. He had the right frame of mind and if he had decided to compete he would probably place second only to Haney. I like the intensity those two trained with!

Guys,

Realistically 4 plates = 225 lbs (assuming they are 45 lb plates)

Great Job Alexx, keep up the good work.

I thought 240 was an idiot but you are now leaving him in the dust.

what did you put in for the last name?  It was not Ropeman, that was his nickname because he was very vascular....I can't remember his real last name but I think he placed 2nd to John Sherman at the 93 USA in the light heavies....

ha, I was thinking "Feldman".  Here is his stats page courtesy of Tim:

http://www.musclememory.com/show.php?a=Felder,+Tyrone

I remember Haney was about 5'11 or 5'11 and 1/2, and Ty didn't seem too much shorter, so I would have guessed he would have competed in the 200-220 range.  But there have been some huge guys at 180 as well.
