If Hillary gets derailed for whatever reason, and with Bernie showing as he does in polls against the various Republicans in a general, it wouldn't be acceprable for someone like Biden to try to "step in" (especially him, since he's already done his little "run/won't run" routine for now).  The D-Machine needs to STFU as long as Bernie can hold his own.

But I don't know how Bernie shows as the states would go, though, and (of course) that's the real question.
