I know. I was shocked to see Detroit there and not Chicago. Neither really belong on a SERIOUS list but I guess they have more data than most so it is easier to include them. Also their negative reputations are well-known.

is it that Bad? I remember seeing a report about Glasgow in Scotland being one of the most violent cities in W Europe because of Knife violence. Not anywhere near as bad as the ones mentioned because of Guns etc but was very bad for Gang Violence and knife attacks.

Approximately 14,000 assaults went unreported as "minor offenses" rather than violent crimes. Additionally, recent years have seen increased crime in the city.
