I watched a doco about some good suburb town where nearly all the youths were hooked on vicadin then heroin, you guys have a huge problem with prescription drugs, you shouldn't be getting pain killers meant for terminal illness/post op for trivial complaints

Doctors get so many kickbacks for handing out free samples.  My doctor would open the cabinet and there'd be boxes of all sorts of shit in sample form including Viagra, Heartburn meds, blood pressure etc...  Any time I was left alone I would check to see if the cabinet was unlocked and most times it wasn't but when It was I would reach and fill my pockets will all sort of goodies.

I remember reading that in the last 10 years the use of prescription pain meds has gone up something 4-5 times.

Isn't morphine the purest form of heroin?  Some guy wrote a book on why heroin is so addictive vs. Morphine.  People claim all it takes is one hit of heroin to be addicted but then why do millions of people go to the hospital for surgery and not leave as addicts?   Interesting question to think of.

They all operate on the opioid recepters

Any opioid is converted into morphine. Whether its tramadol, vicodin, oxy, hydro, heroin

As with testosterone and test precursors

Like Androstenedione, dhea. They eventually get converted into test

I think the fact you inject heroin, it must give a rush that nothing else can compare to. I've never used it, never will.

I've taken morphine before to sleep after being up a few days. Not many times, but never felt the urge to use it in following days. My inner senses won't even allow me to as I know it's a horrible idea.

I never fucked with heroin bc i knew id love it. Now, i did use Nubain for some time but never had the extreme withdrawls some did. (smoking weed did help). I had a good friend Od from Heroin one year to the day that she started.

they were saying in the movie that people like pills bc they know its 100% pure. With heroin, its stepped on and cut with god knows what.

I think a 'normal' person will feel less of a junkie taking prescribed pills vs mainlining smack

Makes sense. Everything is precurser shit from China now in the rec drug world. Here at least. It sucks, but at the same time it's good as it keeps me from even wanting to go out now. But boring as I just know the "speed" no longer kicks, no longer gives me an euphoria and for that, fuck it....

BSF was biased bullshit towards steroids painting a rosey picture of them like nobody ever fucks themselves up using them.
Watched Precription thugs on the weekend, same biased psudoscience nonsense only this time it was against prescription drugs.

That lady who used to work for the pharma company and wrote the book about them is a certified grade A lunatic.

Saying DHEA and andro eventually convert to testosterone is mostly a bullshit statement. It might happen to some degree but mostly it doesn't. It's not even a close analogy. It would be more appropriate to compare morphine derivatives to testosterone derivatives that don't need to go down a complex cascade... something like anadrol.

In short, patients get a script for an opioid pain killer, such as oxycodone, hydrocodone, etc..  They become addicted to it, and when they can no longer get the pills prescribed by a doctor, they then turn to heroin because it's much cheaper, can be more readily available in some cases, and it acts on the same receptors as the pills do.

Not that easy anymore thanks to the abuse. I had kidney stone surgery a while back and they had to cut into my urethra to get them out. Sent me home with nothing

Very true. Doc used to be able to fax in the request. Now they have to print it up but then I was able to drop off at the drive thru window. Now I need to go in and drop it off and then the bitch pharmacist had to question me all this shit. Fuck you. Just fill it.

These drugs cause MANY to murder and commit suicide but the pharmaceutical lobby is much stronger than the NRA and no one goes after them.  Factor in the fact that the medical industry is 1/6 of this country's economy...good luck fighting the machine.

Most of the nut jobs who commit heinous mass shootings are loaded up on "legal" drugs which parents happily give to them to mask the inadequacies of their parenting since it's a "medical issue".
