Well that's if you think that "raising a family" is a huge accomplishment. It;s all relative. WHat I wanted to say is that there are plenty of people who live mediocre lifes, boring ass routines, day in, day out, out of fear, out of lack of courage, lack of motivation, lack of everything, and there are rare individuals like this. He's a predator, yes, but has a mind of a champion, someone that makes his way even if there aren't any, I'm sure dude lived a lot more of a life that majority. Hell... the way things are for most that I see around - people become miserable and lazy lifeless shells after age 45 or so, no drive anymore, no fire, no fight in them, just a slow fading away. That's why I like this kind of personnas, probably because I am similar, I like to see them thrive and kick ass as long as they breathe on this shit shitball called earth. But that's just my preference, you can have your own, no need to argue about that for sure.
