I'm a lift and crane surveyor, I'm not trained up on tower cranes yet but it looks very interesting, you look up at those things and think, how did it get up there, how does it get down etc
There's a 100 odd yr old ship building crane localy that's just been refurbished, the owners were worried about the safety of the structure being so old, so stress gauges were attached at calculated points and the crane was overloaded , the fucker didn't budge... Built to last, belt and braces, I couldn't see anything built now still standing and working 100 odd yrs down the line
