  As a proponent of Utilitarianism, I have never stopped wearing the 1980's black leather fannypack.
  There is a reason they still make them and are ubiquitous at every flea market all over the world.

I have a fanny pack that is made specifically for concealed carry and it is the most obvious fucking thing in the world. I might as well be wearing a police duty belt, it's as subtle.

Doesn't that level of obviousness abort concealed carry and make you a target?

Not currently carrying but was always a fan of inside the belt high rider.

Yeah, that's why I hate it. It's like my tactical ( ::)) vest for concealment in warm weather. Like anybody wears a vest in the summer unless they're concealing. I used to call it my "please shoot me first" vest.

Why don't you buy a purse and be done with it? Just playin.  I leave my phone in the car. I don't talk or text in the gym.   A gun in a fanny pack is just way too slow to access.  If something happens it will usually be right in front of you and happen quickly. Most cop shootings are under 7 yards and I bet if statistics were kept most civilian self defense shooting would be even closer. Do you have the two seconds to unzip the fanny pack if someone is right on top you? If I have my hand on a knife that I suddenly produced and catch you with gun in a regular traditional holster you would not be able to draw in time if I was 10 feet away from you. A fanny pack would be disastrous.

My biggest reason against the fanny pack is that it looks so faggy.  But hey, that's just me. I bought one designed to carry a gun by Desantis and I just can't bring myself to walk around with that thing.

whats with all the fanny pack hate? all the tru bodybuilds know that they can be very useful,,,,,bring your oils, insulin, GH etc,,,,ammonia whatever all in a convenient pocket tht lets you carry a ton of stuff withut feeling hella bulky as if it were in a regular pocket. Im about to invest in a new one and also a poverty ipod shuffle because i hate having to only wear clothes with pockets to the gym so i can listen to music....

I've seen a ton of xbox huge dudes at various gyms in person and in videos with fanny packs lmao, I like to think that they do it intentionally so people will maybe talk shit and they'll get to take some tren rage out on someone,,,,the whole "wish a guy would" thing. But yeah fanny packs are legit in my book. surprised by everyone's opinions

in the gym, my jansport fanny pack holds my keys, iPhone, gum, tumms, glasses if I'm reading on the treadmill, and one dude wipe, incase i have to go number two in the gym.

when I'm out and about, my fanny pack carried all the above, and my slim wallet. (why would i want all of this stuff in my pants pockets?? seems pretty uncomfortable.

and when I'm really out and about, my fanny pack will carry my mini glock 27.  I may look like a geek, but i don't lose my stuff. :P :P :P
Why do you take your phone to the gym? Especially since you're retired??
