Its funny how Mike came out of nowhere and beat Kevin, Flex and Chris at nationals but never was able to advance to an elite level as a pro.

Joe Weider needed another white pro to sell magazines besides Dorian. Plus, Mike was pretty much maxed out when he turned pro and was never able to add anything other than esiclene to his biceps and delts. RIP.

back then you had to be razor sharp to get your pro card.  sharper than you needed to be to win as a pro.   he nailed his conditioning and beat more balanced bodybuilders.   worked the opposite for edgar fletcher and matt mendenhall who never nailed it.

Phil looks pretty good in this pose, but I still prefer Levrone in this comparison.

Still, those pics are about 20 years apart and Levrone never won the Olympia. Why should it even be close with today's athletes having access to Whey Protein, Pre and Post-workout supplements and VPX Bang drinks?

if you merged pics of Arnold and Franco and made Franco the same height as Arnold, Franco would look better too

I thought Mike turned Pro at the USA not the Nationals.

Levrone wins on the midsection there and probably has more pleasing lines (no homo) but as much as I hate to admit it, Heath is still better overall.

Throw up a rear double biceps and Heath absolutely destroys Levrone.
